Build ourselves with an honest and sincere heart

IF ONE’S heart is not honest and sincere, any material wealth or riches are based merely on petty greed. Having an honest and open heart means possessing a kind and virtuous mind. The heart is beautified through wisdom, completeness of knowledge, a fair and just mindset, and a noble disposition.

Some people use an honest and sincere heart to acquire material wealth and then apply that wealth wisely in their daily lives. Because such wealth is earned based on a pure mind, it remains free from fault and wrongdoing. They eat what should be eaten, save what should be saved, invest some, use what should be used, give what should be given, and donate what should be donated. Material wealth is managed with dignity and honour. A pure heart exists only in those who have the ability and determination to act in this way. Therefore, to act righteously, the mind and heart must be pure from the start, and the pure heart guides the management of the results obtained.

If one does not possess an honest and sincere heart, then the material wealth they acquire cannot be properly used for themselves; they do not eat what they should, nor use it appropriately. They fail to give what should be given and do not make proper donations. They hoard money and desire more than they have received, driven by greed. Even if their wealth is abundant, it cannot be dignified or honoured. They cannot give or donate, and thus true honour and virtue are absent. Their wealth, greed, and desire for more dominate their lives, leaving them perpetually constrained and unfulfilled.

If one does not have a wealthy, honest, and sincere heart, even abundant material wealth cannot bring true benefit or prosperity. Dignity is absent, and only petty greed remains. In human life, people work and earn income daily to meet their basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter. In doing so, they must follow proper paths to increase income and enhance economic benefits.

Wealth should be acquired properly, and even when it is abundant, it must be managed with a wealthy, honest heart that can use it wisely. If one acts without following the correct path, losing a pure mind and causing harm to others, the income and material possessions gained can, like fire, first burn and destroy oneself. Therefore, everyone should strive to possess a wealthy and generous heart so that they may experience and enjoy many kinds of good fortune and blessings.
