Team Myanmar joins closing ceremony of 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet



THE Myanmar Tatmadaw del­egation led by General Kyaw Swa Lin, the Chief of the Gen­eral Staff (Army, Navy and Air), who has arrived in Singapore to attend the closing ceremo­ny of the 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (33rd AARM), visited the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) on the afternoon of 27 Novem­ber. The delegation observed the urban operations training grounds, mock-up training sup­port weapon systems used in urban combat, demonstration firing of small arms, demon­stration flights of surveillance drones, and unmanned ground vehicle systems.

 

General Kyaw Swa Lin then visited the military exhi­bition ground of the Singapore Armed Forces Training Insti­tute and joined ASEAN army chiefs and delegation leaders in participating in the Novelty Shoot event. He continued to ob­serve an urban combat mock-up demonstration in which assault vehicles and unmanned vehicle systems were used to clear hos­tile elements inside buildings.

 

General Kyaw Swa Lin again participated in the Novel­ty Shoot and attended the clos­ing ceremony of the 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (33rd AARM) together with ASEAN army chiefs and delegation leaders. He also met cordially with mem­bers of the Myanmar shooting team competing in the event, encouraged them, and posed for documentary photographs. In the evening, the General and the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation attended the fare­well dinner of the 33rd AARM together with ASEAN army chiefs and delegation leaders. — MNA/KZL
