Team Myanmar joins closing ceremony of 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet
THE Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by
General Kyaw Swa Lin, the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), who
has arrived in Singapore to attend the closing ceremony of the 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet
(33rd AARM), visited
the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) on the afternoon of 27
November. The delegation observed the urban operations training grounds,
mock-up training support weapon systems used in urban combat, demonstration
firing of small arms, demonstration flights of surveillance drones, and
unmanned ground vehicle systems.
General Kyaw Swa Lin then visited the
military exhibition ground of the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute
and joined ASEAN army chiefs and delegation leaders in participating in the
Novelty Shoot event. He continued to observe an urban combat mock-up
demonstration in which assault vehicles and unmanned vehicle systems were used
to clear hostile elements inside buildings.
General Kyaw Swa Lin again participated
in the Novelty Shoot and attended the closing ceremony of the 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet
(33rd AARM) together
with ASEAN army chiefs and delegation leaders. He also met cordially with members
of the Myanmar shooting team competing in the event, encouraged them, and posed
for documentary photographs. In the evening, the General and the Myanmar
Tatmadaw delegation attended the farewell dinner of the 33rd
AARM together with ASEAN army chiefs and delegation leaders. —
