Terrorists destroy telecommunication towers in Sagaing, Mandalay regions

Political extremists
and terrorists destroyed telecommunication towers in some townships across the
country. It is found that they have been planting mines and setting fire to
some of these towers.
On 4 September, a MYTEL
telecommunication tower, set up in a field at about two furlongs west of
Shwehlyan village, Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, was set on fire by
rubbish, destroying equipment and cablesinside.
At around 2 am on 5
September, terrorists blew up the Ooredoo telecommunication tower set up near
milepost 15 miles and one furlong on Tagaung-Bhamo road in Thabeikkyin
Township, Mandalay Region, and equipment and cables in the box containing tower
control transmitters were destroyed. At the same time, three terrorists driving
two motorbikes from the east of the Patle-inn village, set fire to the tower
control transmitter box at the bottom of the Ooredoo telecommunication tower
set up in the compound of U Kyaw Soe, in Patle-inn village, Madaya Township,
Mandalay Region, and escaped toward Singu Township. The fire was put out by the
villagers, and transmitters and cables were destroyed in the fire.
Security forces are
investigating to identify and arrest the terrorists effectively under the law,
