Sports contests held to hail 74th Anniversary of Independence Day in Sinbaungwe Township

THE sports meets to mark the 74th Anniversary of Independence Day were held at No (1) Ward Basic Education Post-Primary School Sinbaungwe, Thayet District, Magway Region, starting from 9 am yesterday.

 

Students competed in the 50m sprint, intermediate level squash, sack race, and potato-picking games.

 

The sports events were held for the purpose of training and physical fitness in order to make students appreciate independence and collaborate with one another. The winners will be awarded on the 74th Anniversary of Independence Day, officials said. —Naing Lin (Township IPRD)/GNLM
