MoST holds ISO 9004:2018 awareness workshop

The Ministry of Science and Technology held an online workshop on “ISO 9004:2018 Quality Management – Quality of an organization – Guidance to achieve sustained success” to promote yesterday afternoon.

 

Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw said that standards play an important role in strengthening the national quality infrastructure and, thus, it is important to be able to apply the standards and understand the contents of the standards.

 

He said that by holding ISO 9004:2018 workshops and training, the processes to be implemented in implementing the quality management system of the organization for sustainable success can be understood, the organization’s level of maturity can be accessed with the Self-Assessment Tool so that the strengths and weakness of the organization can be analyzed to implement it for further development.

 

The workshop was attended by directors-general, deputy directors-general and officials from the seven departments of the Ministry of Science and Technology. — MNA
