SAC Chairman donates offertories to Maha Wizitayon monastery in Mandalay, pays homage to Hsutaungpyae Pagoda on Mandalay Hill

Chairman of the State
Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited
Sasana Hitakari Dhamma Beikman of Maha Wizitayon monastery in Chanayethazun
Township in Mandalay Region and donated rice, cooking oil and offertories for
members of the Sangha yesterday.
The Senior General
firstly paid homage to State Ovadacariya presiding Nayaka of the monastery
Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Vicarinda Bhivamsa, and asked after him,
and instructed relevant officials to make the necessary arrangements.
After receiving the
Five Precepts, the Senior General and party offered K 15 million for nine
prerequisites, 50 bags of rice, 5 bags of gram, 10 containers of cooking oil,
10 bags of potatoes, 10 bags of onion, including nutritious food and medicines
donated by the families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air).
In the evening, the
Senior General and party paid homage to the Hsutaungpyae Pagoda on Mandalay
Hill, and donated cash for all round renovation to the members of the pagoda
board of trustees. The Senior General also instructed officials to maintain the
uphill road, the stairways of the pagoda and Mandalay Hill, terrace and the
roof of the pagoda, for long term existence.—MNA
