Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and party arrive in Myanmar to attend 8th High-Level Committee Meeting

An advanced delegation led by Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Chalermphon Srisawasdi arrived at the Thandwe Airport of Rakhine State by special flight yesterday morning to attend the 8th High-Level Committee Meeting between Myanmar and Thai armed forces to be hosted by Myanmar.

 

The Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and party were warmly welcomed at the airport by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, the commander of Western Command, the military attaché of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to Myanmar and officials.

 

While in Myanmar, the advanced delegation led by the Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces will attend the 8th High-Level Committee Meeting, hold the meeting to further enhance friendly relations and cooperation between the two armed forces, pay homage to eminent pagodas and visit significant places. — MNA/TTA
