Construction of rural road in Pwintbyu Township completed 87%

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, a rural road has been constructed in Mondawkyi Village in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region and it has been completed 87 percent so far.

Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the progress of the construction work on 18 January and met with members of construction Company and gave necessary instructions.

The rural road measuring over six furlongs in length, 12 ft. in width and one ft. in volume and one box culvert on the road have been constructed by a tender winning company with Ks. 31.5 million allotted by regional government since June 6 last year and now, it has been completed 87 percent.

Once completed, it will benefit 400 acres of farmland of 6551 local people from 1413 households in the village, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Ko Win Lay(Pwintbyu)
