Officials inspect construction of rural road in Wundwin Twsp.

Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development looked into the progress of construction works of rural road in Kyathekan Village in Wundwin Township, Mandalay Region yesterday.

The rural road measuring 7.58 miles in length, 12 ft. in width and two ft. and nine inches in thickness and two slab culverts measuring 18 ft. long, five ft. and three inches wide and five ft. and nine inches high on the road has been constructed since the first week of December last year by a tender winning company with Ks. 63.18 million allotted by regional government in 2022-2023 fiscal year.

During the inspection tour, officials met members of the construction company and instructed to meet the construction deadlines. Once completed, it will benefit 870 acres of farmland of rural people from Kyathekan Village and nearby villages, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner, according to the Township Department of Rural Development.—Thein Myint Kyaw(Meiktila)
