Monsoon agricultural loans disbursed in Kengtung Township

Myanma Agricultural Development Bank in Kengtung Township, Shan State (East) is dispensing monsoon agricultural loans to farmers in the township on 5 June.

The bank dispenses monsoon agricultural loans at a rate of K 150,000 per acre of paddy and K 100,000 per acre of other crops with an interest of 5 percent starting from 18 May.  The bank has disbursed K 71.4 million of agricultural loans for 476 acres of farmland to 121 farmers in the township. Those who have not received agricultural loans will be disbursed by the end of September.

It is earmarked to disburse over K 100 million of monsoon agricultural loans in Kengtung Township, according to the Bank Manager of MADB (Kengtung Branch).
