Rehabilitation efforts accelerated in Mocha-affected areas of Rakhine State

Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of
the Commander-in-Chief (Army) took charge of overseeing rehabilitation measures
in the Mocha-hit areas of Rakhine State. He visited Bodhi Theikpan monastery in
Taungyin Ward and Youth Development Philanthropic Monastery in Zeditaung Ward
of Kyaukpyu yesterday.
During his visit, Lt-Gen Lu Aye
engaged in cordial conversations with teachers and students at the monastic
education schools established within these monasteries. He also provided
stationery and notebooks as contributions to support their educational
endeavours.
While in Kyaukpyu, he inspected
the ongoing dredging operations to clear blocked drains in Asoeya Ward. Additionally,
at a ceremony held at the Township General Administration Department, where
cash was donated to the fund for repairing religious schools and buildings
damaged by the storm, Lt-Gen Lu Aye presented financial aid to the relevant
village administrators and members of the board of trustees.
Meanwhile, Lt-Gen Aye Win from
the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) observed the cleaning activities
conducted by departmental personnel on the Strand Road, located west of Myoma
market in South Myothit Ward of Buthidaung. Afterwards, he visited the
Dhammayon of Donthein Village, overseeing the provision of healthcare services
to storm victims. During his visit, he extended assistance to residents and
representatives from three village-tracts.
In Myebon, Brig-Gen Kyaw Kyaw Soe
addressed the requirements of the board of trustees of religious schools at the
Township General Administration Office. Furthermore, he assessed the progress
made in the efforts to promptly renovate the religious schools damaged by the storm
