184 Myanmar migrant workers transferred from Thailand

A total of 184 Myanmar migrant workers including 153 males and 31 females who wish to return home were handed over to the Myanmar-Thailand friendship bridge-2 in Myawaddy Township, Kayin State on August 24.
The migrant workers received informative talk on COVID-19 after being welcomed by Myanmar officials. Next, officials registered the information of the returnees.
The returnees who are from Bago Region, Tanintharyi Region and Mon State were sent to Semyone quarantine centre in the town of Mawlamyine, Mon State. In addition, the returnees from other regions and states were sent to the Shwe Myawaddy quarantine centre in the town of Myawaddy, Kayin State.
If they are free of COVID-19, they will be sent back to their place of residence. But the returnees with COVID-19 should isolate for more 10 days.—Zar Pyu Win(IPRD)
