One killed in house fire in Namhkam Twsp.

A 60-year-old man was killed in a fire which broke out at his home in Kaungnaungmo Ward in the town of Namhkam, Muse District of Shan State (North) at about 11:00 pm on August 23.

Firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with local people and volunteers using eight fire engines after receiving the report. But fire completely destroyed the house.

The owner of the house was died in the house fire because he was old and could not walk properly. The body of the deceased man was sent to the hospital by members of local philanthropic group. The estimated damage to property destroyed by the fire was Ks. 10 million.—Namhkam(IPRD)
