Myanmar wins 2 silvers, 2 bronzes at Lancang-Mekong Sepak Takraw
THE Myanmar Sepak Takraw team grabbed two silver and
two bronze medals for the country at the Lancang-Mekong Sepak Takraw
Competition held from 23 to 27 October in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous
Region, People’s Republic of China.
Athletes led by U Sai Zaw Tun Lin arrived back
Myanmar yesterday evening, and they were welcomed back by Vice-President U Aung
Myint Myat of the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation and relevant officials at
Yangon International Airport.
During the competitions, Vietnam won first in the
men’s foursome event, while Myanmar was second, and Laos and Vietnam jointly
won third place. Vietnam won first place while Myanmar won second, and China
and Vietnam jointly won third place in the women’s foursome competition.
Then, Thailand won the men’s regu, while Vietnam won
second, and Myanmar and Laos jointly won third place. Finally, Thailand stood
first,Vietnam won second, and Myanmar and China jointly won third place in
women’s regu.
Teams from Myanmar, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos,
