Ngwehsaung Beach packed with visitors during Thadingyut holidays

During the Thadingyut holidays which start from 16 to 19 October, Ngwehsaung Beach in Pathein district of Ayeyawady Region was packed with locals and foreign visitors from various places.

Ngwehsaung Beach is an attractive destination not only for locals but also for foreign visitors. During this year’s Thadingyut holidays, a total of 16,151 people including 710 foreign visitors and 15441 locals came to relax at Ngwehsaung Beach.

In order to increase the numbers of tourist arrival to the beach and to develop beach tourism, town-level officials from Hotels and Tourism Supervising Department under Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and Ngwehsaung Hoteliers are opening basic courses on hotels services and basic foreign language courses, holding coordination meetings on hotels services and conducting Beach cleaning activities regularly in collaboration with relevant organizations.—Kyaw Lin Oo(IPRD)
