Seventh day of Silver Jubilee Performing Arts Competition continues
THE Silver Jubilee of the Myanmar Traditional
Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2024 entered its seventh day in Nay Pyi
Taw Union Territory yesterday.
A “Song Competition for Promoting National Prestige
and Integrity” took place at the Banquet Hall of the Myanmar International
Convention Centre II (MICC II). Contestants from regions and states
participated in the amateur-level second-grade male category, and the higher
education level female category.
The basic education level (aged 10-15) female
dancing contest and Chin traditional dance open-class contest took place at the
Plenary Hall of MICC II.
A song-composing contest for higher education level
was organized at the Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and
Culture.
Moreover, contestants from regions and states at
different levels competed in the mandolin, xylophone, orchestra solo,
narration, marionette and drama contests, respectively.
These contests were attended by Chairman of the
State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and
his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, council members General Nyo Saw and his wife, Mahn
Nyein Maung and Dr Hmuh Thang, Chief Justice of the Union U Tha Htay, Chairman
of the Union Election Commission U Ko Ko, Deputy Prime Minister and Union
Minister U Win Shein, Union ministers and senior Tatmadaw officers.
The awarding of the competition will take place on
