UNDP to aid flood victims in Shan, Kayin, and Bago with appliances

 

THE UNDP will provide emergency household appliances for rehabilitation efforts to flood victims in Kalaw Township of Shan State, Hlaingbwe Township of Kayin State, and Bago Township of Bago Region.

This grant is part of UNDP’s Enabling Community Recovery and Resilience (ENCORE) project, which collaborates with local communities to launch relief and rehabilitation activities for future natural disasters. UNDP provides personal items, foodstuffs, solar lights, power banks, clothing, and Household Emergency Assistance Packages (HEAP) boxes, including medications, in NyaungU Township of Mandalay Region, Kanma and Sinbaungwe townships of Magway Region, Nyaungshwe Township of Shan State, and Hpa-an Township of Kayin State. — ASH/MKKS
