The final day of the Thadingyut Festival expo and concert was
bustling with youth activities yesterday morning at the People’s Square in
Yangon. Shoppers thronged the market while young attendees gathered to enjoy
the festive concert.
The expo featured a wide variety of goods, including

products. There were 48 MSME stalls, 26 from the Small-Scale Industries
Department, 15 from the Cooperative Department, and 15 from the relevant
Investment and Company Administration, among others. Local products from
various regions and literature stalls also attracted many customers.
Vendors reported successful sales, with some earning between
K500,000 and K1 million daily and a few exceeding K1.5 million.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and other ministers
toured the market, supporting the vendors and purchasing goods. They also
inspected the preparation of Satuditha (charity) meals for the public, ensuring
food hygiene and proper organization. Satuditha meals and cold drinks were served
three times daily during the festival.
The concert, featuring renowned singers and DJs, began at 9
am with large crowds of youths joining in, dancing, and singing along in
celebration.
The festival market operated from 7 am to 7 pm, while the
concert and DJ performances ran from 10 am to 9 pm. The night concluded with a
fireworks display and the ascending of sky lanterns, providing a joyful end to
the event. Officials arranged shuttle services to ensure convenient transport
for attendees. — San Kyaw Oo (IPRD)/KZL
