attended the 2024 Maha Kathina robe-offering ceremony of families of the Commander-in-Chief
(Army, Navy and Air) at Anawrahta Hall of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief
(Army) yesterday morning.
The ceremony was also attended by 27 members of the Sangha and
Ovadacariya Sayadaws of Uppatasanti Pagoda Board of Trustees.
The Senior General and his wife, together with distinguished
guests, viewed the display of Kathina robes and offertories to be donated to
monasteries. The Senior General paid homage to the Buddha image in the hall and
donated alms, flowers, water, oil lights and fruits.

Bhaddanta Javana and Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee

Patron of Mandalay Masoeyein Taikthit Sayadaw of Dhamma Thameikdi Monastery
Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Maha Dhammakathika
Bahujanahitadhara Bhaddanta Vasettha Bhivamsa, and the SAC member Chief of the
General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and his wife donated Kathina robes and alms
to Yezin KanU Monastery Sayadaw.
Senior Tatmadaw officers and their wives also presented Kathina
robes and donations to members of the Sangha.
Two members of the Sangha from Yezin KanU Monastery performed
the question-and-answer session on the Kathina affairs.
Mandalay Masoeyein Taikthit Sayadaw delivered Kathina Anumodana
and the congregation shared merits gained.
The Senior General, his wife and the congregation offered day
meals to members of the Sangha led by the Chairman Sayadaw.
The offerings from the Maha Kathina robe-offering ceremony were
conveyed from Anawrahta Hall to Uppatasanti Pagoda by car.
At the
ceremony, Tatmadaw members and families from the offices and departments of the
Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) donated offerings worth
K136,293,395 and cash K106,985,010. These offerings were conveyed to relevant
