Groundnut Plantations Thriving in Paukkaung Township

Paukkaung, 17 January

In a bid to ensure edible oil security in the township, groundnuts have been successfully planted on 5,719 acres in Paukkaung Township, Bago Region, and are now thriving.

This winter, local farmers in the township planted high-quality groundnuts in November and December, working to meet the targeted planting area with support from the Township Agriculture Department.

To guarantee optimal growth, farmers are receiving essential assistance, including fertilizers, as part of efforts to secure a plentiful harvest. Local officials, in close cooperation with the Department of Agriculture, are taking necessary steps to ensure the success of the groundnut plantations.— Than Tun Aung (IPRD)
