Surge in apartment sales in South Okkalapa Township
COMPARED to houses and lands, apartment
sales have increased in Yangon Region’s South Okkalapa Township, according to
estate agents.
“Recently, apartment transactions have
increased in South Okkalapa, while other property sales have been few. Buyers
are people who relocated as well as residents,” said a local estate agent.
Similarly, apartment sales have also risen
in Thingangyun Township. In previous months, most realty transactions are apartments
only in the two townships.
“Buyers prefer apartments because the
price is around K100 million and the condition is ready to live. Apartment
transactions have been seen more in South Okkalapa,” he added.
In September 2024, rental was larger
than buying and selling the Yangon real estate market. Among apartment and
condominium tenants, some people moved to Yangon from other regions and states.
