MMC’s inaugural Book & Art Exhibition celebrates 78th Union Day
THE
first MMC Book and Art Exhibition in honour of the 78th Union Day will be held
at the Myawady Media Centre in Baukhtaw, Yangon, from 11 to 13 February,
according to the exhibition organizing committee.
The
exhibition will be open from 9 am to 5 pm daily during these days, so book and
art lovers and interested persons are invited to visit and buy everything in
one place, and special programmes will also be included.
“The
exhibition will include a programme of the meeting among writers/ artists and
the audience, a live caricature at one sitting, and other interesting food and
drinks. Moreover, restaurants will be opened for the convenience of visitors to
the exhibition,” said an official from the organizing committee.
At
Myawady’s Public Access Media Centre, its published books including those from
other printing houses will be sold at special discounted prices.
This
is the first exhibition held at the Myawady Media Centre, and it aims to
contribute its efforts to promote reading habits and readership. – GNLM
