Myanmar govt aids citizen repatriation from abroad
THE Myanmar government places great
importance on the well-being of its citizens residing overseas and remains
committed to ensuring their safe and timely return in times of difficulty,
regardless of the circumstances. To facilitate this, the Myanmar
Consulate-General and Embassy work closely with relevant embassies and ministries
to coordinate the repatriation process.
As part of these efforts, the Myanmar
Consulate-General in Oman collaborated with authorities in Oman to assist in
the repatriation of Ma Ei Thanda Aung, a Myanmar national who faced
difficulties while working in Oman. She departed in Muscat in Oman at 9:05 am
(local time) on 16 February on a Muscat-Bangkok-Yangon flight and arrived in
Yangon at 12:15 am on 17 February (local time).
The Myanmar Consulate-General continues
to assist Myanmar nationals in Oman who are experiencing hardships, ensuring
their safe return home. The Myanmar government, through its consulates and embassies,
remains dedicated to supporting its citizens abroad in times of need. Workers
and their families have expressed their sincere gratitude to the government,
the Myanmar Consulate-General, and the Myanmar Embassy for their assistance. —
