Myanmar to face host Nepal today
THE final match of the Nepal Four
Nations Women’s Invitational Competition will be held today at 6:45 pm Myanmar
Standard Time. The Myanmar women’s national football team will compete against
the host Nepal women’s team.
Both teams have advanced to the final
undefeated in their group-stage matches. Their previous encounter ended in a
2-2 draw. The competition followed a round-robin format, with Myanmar defeating
Lebanon 3-1, Kyrgyzstan 5-0 and Nepal securing wins over Kyrgyzstan 1-0 and
Lebanon 1-0. With seven points each, Myanmar finished top of the group due to
a better goal difference.
This competition serves as part of
Myanmar’s preparations for three major international tournaments scheduled for
this year. The Myanmar women’s team, led by head coach Yuki Takasawa has
included both seniors and newcomers. The coach has fielded a different lineup
