Faculty members to provide training to SATs for students to retake matriculation examination

Pe, accompanied by Deputy Ministers Dr Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing, visited
basic education high schools in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and observed
university professors and teachers conducting subject-specific Training of
Trainers (TOT) sessions for high school teachers preparing to teach students
retaking the 2025 matriculation examination, yesterday.
At No 5 BEHS in Zabuthiri Township, the
Union minister observed university professors and teachers conducting lessons.
He stated that the matriculation examination, as the final stage of basic
education, determines students’ life goals, and the purpose of the re-examination
of the matriculation exam is to ensure fairness, dignity, and job
opportunities by providing a fair assessment of the efforts and aspirations of
hardworking students, with the Ministry of Education and relevant government
officials and organizations in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Sagaing Region,
Mandalay Region, and Kachin State offering full support for retaking the exam,
while urging students to seize the opportunity and retake the exam to uphold
fairness.
The Union minister also visited No 14
BEHS in Zabuthiri Township to observe the teaching and learning process and
met with university professors, teachers, and senior assistant teachers from
basic education and private schools to offer encouragement and address their
needs.
The course, conducted from 2 to 4 May at
No 5 and No 14 BEHSs in Zabuthiri Township, is being taught by professors and
teachers from Naypyitaw State Academy, Pathein University, Toungoo University,
Sittway University, Bago University, and Yangon University of Economics for
teachers from high schools and private schools. After the training, the
professors, teachers, and SATs will go to designated basic education high
schools in eight townships in Nay Pyi Taw to personally teach students retaking
