MoTC holds rainy season tree-planting ceremonies
THE 2025 rainy season tree-growing ceremony of the Ministry of Transport and Communications was held at two plots beside the railways lines between the Nay Pyi Taw Railway Station and Ywataw Station in Pobbathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw on 14 June.
Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo and his wife, deputy ministers, the permanent secretary and employees and their families attended the event.
Gen Mya Tun Oo and wife led the ceremony to grow 1,500 shade trees including teak, gum-kino, ironwood and Cassia with participation of attendees.
Similarly, the tree-planting events were held at the same time, by departments and organizations from the ministry in the states and regions. — MNA/KZL
