Fire Breaks Out in Mudon Township
Mudon, 8 July
A fire broke out at a rubber
factory located on No. 6 Kangyi thadipahtan Road in Myoma Ward-4, Mudon
Township, Mon State, at around 1:45 a.m. on 8 July.
The fire reportedly started when
a rubber overheated and ignited. Firefighters, led by U Phone Myint Aye, Staff
Officer of the Mudon Township Fire Services Department, along with personnel
from the Kamawat Fire Station and local residents, responded swiftly. Two fire
engines and three water tankers were used to extinguish the blaze, which was
brought under control by 2:17 a.m.
The fire destroyed the factory
building measuring 15 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 15 feet high and
approximately 1,700 pounds of rubber. Fortunately, no injuries to people or
