Hinthada, 7 July
To commemorate World
Rural Development Day, the Hinthada Township Rural Development Department
organized a rainy season tree planting event on July 6. The activity took place
along both sides of the rural road in Daekwin Village, Seikgyi Village Tract,
with the aim of promoting environmental sustainability, moderating the local
climate, and encouraging community participation in tree planting efforts.
Daw Swe Swe Win, staff
officer of the Hinthada Township Rural Development Department, explained the
objectives of the initiative and distributed saplings to the village, which
were formally accepted by the village administrator.
Following this, Daw Swe
Swe Win, together with departmental staff, the village administrator, the
village clerk, and local residents, planted manjasha and padauk trees along
both sides of the rural road in Daekwin Village.— Zin Mar Oo
