MYANMAR will exhibit about 80
booths at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which will be held on 17-21
September in Nanning, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
Myanmar will participate in the
expo as the Country of Honour and explore market access for Myanmar’s
agro-based SMEs’ products into the Chinese market through the CAEXPO platform
and display Myanmar’s high-quality gemstones, according to the Myanmar Trade
Promotion Organization.
Myanmar will promote Myitkyina
City in Kachin State as the City of Charm at the CAEXPO, according to the
Kachin State government.
It serves as a platform to
promote the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the
ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA) 3.0. The expo will strengthen friendship
between the participating countries and bring about trade benefits. China-ASEAN
Expo was launched in 2004, and Myanmar started to join in 2005. — ASH/KK
