Ngape Township Plants Over 25,000 Acres of Rain-fed Crops

Township in Magway Region has successfully planted 25,369 acres of rain-fed
crops so far, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
The
Township aims to cultivate a total of 40,230 acres this year. Key irrigation
support is provided by the Manchaung and Yinshee reservoirs, with systematic
water distribution managed by the local Irrigation Department.
Crops
planted include 455 acres of rain-fed paddy, 12,891 acres of sesame, 4,341
acres of green gram, and various others such as corn, sunflower, peanuts, tea,
coffee, vegetables, and fruits.
Farmers
are receiving support in the form of seeds, agricultural inputs, and pest
control guidance. Field staff are actively monitoring crop health, and
