YNPAFFC donates solar streetlights to Thakayta at project launch ceremony

THE project opening ceremony took place yesterday morning for solar-powered streetlights and lamp posts in Thakayta Town­ship at the U-Energy (UREC) natural gas power plant in Thakayta Township under the Friendship with Foreign Coun­tries (YNPAFFC) programme.

 

Attendees included the Yan­gon Region chief minister, offi­cials from Yunnan Province, the deputy secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Yunnan Province gov­ernor, the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar, and members of the Yunnan Province delegation.

 

Solar-powered streetlights and lamp posts will be installed in areas of Thakayta Township that lack access to electricity. — Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)/MKKS
