Aung Naing Toe Paddy Harvested in Gyobingauk, Yielding 136 Baskets per Acre
Gyobingauk, 15 September
In Gyobingauk Township, Thayawady
District, Bago Region, the Aung Naing Toe rice variety was harvested on the
morning of 15 September from a 5-acre paddy field owned by U Khin Zaw, a farmer
from Taman Si Village.
The Aung Naing Toe rice variety,
purchased and cultivated with the assistance of the Township Agriculture
Department, was grown using a combination of natural and urea fertilizers. The
yield reached approximately 136 baskets per acre—an increase compared to the
yield of Thai rice varieties grown last year.
According to U Khin Zaw, this
year’s improved yield is due to following the planting guidelines provided by
the Township Agriculture Department.
The harvesting event was attended
by U Aung Kyaw Zeya, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration
Committee, members of the Township Agriculture and Livestock Supervision
Committee, departmental officials, and local farmers.—Zeya Htun (IPRD)
