Palin Kanthaya elephant camp receives 1,015 times of food buffets online



ELEPHANT lovers across the country are feeding the ele­phants in Palin Kanthaya ele­phant camp online, according to the officials from the elephant camp. The Palin Kanthaya el­ephant camp is located near the west Palin village beside the Myingyan-Pakokku Road in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region.

 

The camp was opened by the Myanma Timber Enter­prise of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation. Elephant lovers from across the country are buying elephant feed buffets on­line and feeding the elephants. The number of people feeding the elephant buffet increased to 1,015 times. Some booked online to feed the elephant, of­ficials added.

 

There are a total of 22 ele­phant camps in states and re­gions. The elephant feeding can be done by contacting the ele­phant camps’ pages. The buf­fet includes sugarcane, grass, banana, pumpkin, watermel­on, cucumber, mango, coconut and corn and seasonal crops. It costs K50,000 to K100,000 per meal, and K100,000 can be do­nated for six elephants a day.

The elephant camps set up for the development of ur­ban-based tourism are in short supply.
