MoC UM inspects Myanmar-Korea Friendship Bridge (Dala)

UNION Minister for Construc­tion U Myo Thant inspected the construction site of the Myan­mar-Korea Friendship Bridge (Dala) yesterday.

 

The Union minister heard the reports on the completion of the approach bridges on the Yangon side and Dala side, in­stallation of apparatus for cable, Ramp B and Ramp A on the Yangon side and other construc­tion-related matters, including the construction of Toll Plaza and Administrative Office on the Dala side and a proper fee collection system.

 

After hearing the reports, the Union minister highlight­ed the need to ensure the road direction signals for safety, co­operation with YCDC, timely completion, proper waterflow system, protection for pier due to water current, installation of speed Bumps and other traffic safety measures.

 

The Union minister also inspected the installation of the Noise Barrier on each side of the approach bridge along Phonegyi street on the Yangon side, the establishment of the Barrier, the construction of the Toll Plaza and Administrative Office on the Dala side. — MNA/ KTZH
