MoFA Union Minister receives Ambassador-designate of Pakistan

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Mr Tariq Karim, Ambassador-designate of Pakistan, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

The Union minister congratulated Mr Tariq Karim on his appointment as the ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar. They discussed matters relating to the enhancement of existing friendly ties and bilateral cooperation in mutually beneficial areas, including trade, agriculture, tourism, people-to-people contacts and capacity building.

 

Also, present at the meeting were senior representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and the Pakistani Embassy. — MNA
