Nearly 400 residents receive care from Tatmadaw mobile medical team
BASED in Kanazoegon Village, Wakema Township, Ayeyawady Region, the Tatmadaw riverine mobile medical team – comprising the Tatmadaw floating hospital Shwe Puzun, the river vessel Saku, and accompanying specialists, doctors, and nurses – departed the village yesterday morning and arrived in Taungkalay Village, Myaungmya Township, in the afternoon. They were warmly welcomed by departmental officials, residents, teachers, and students.
The mobile medical team, operating in Taungkalay Village yesterday, provided healthcare services to 391 residents from Taungkalay Village and nearby villages.
The team provided treatment to 183 general medical patients, 19 surgical patients, 21 obstetrics and gynaecology patients, 24 paediatric patients, 48 orthopaedic patients, 25 ENT patients, 43 ophthalmology patients, and 28 dental and oral patients, administering the necessary medicines and treatments. Among these, they also attended to one general surgery case, one eye surgery case, seven x-ray cases, 24 patients examined using ultrasound, 11 patients tested using ECG, and 34 patients who underwent laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment. — MNA/MKKS
