Sagaing Region Chief Minister inspects voter lists, local market fair in Monywa
CHIEF Minister U Myat Kyaw of the
Sagaing Region, together with local authorities and officials of relevant
election subcommissions, visited Monywa yesterday morning.
They observed on-the-ground household
checks being conducted in Aung Chantha Ward by the Township General
Administration Department, the Township Election Subcommission, and the
Ministry of Immigration and Population to ensure the accuracy and completeness
of voter lists for the successful holding of the 2025 multiparty democratic
general election. They greeted local residents cordially during the visit.
Afterwards, the Chief Minister and
officials proceeded to Monywa’s Yongyi Ward, where they observed the household
inspection activities.
On 29 November, the Chief Minister and
officials visited the MSME Product Fair at Monywa People’s Park. They viewed
the displays and sales of over 98 booths showcasing township-level local
products, garments, consumer goods, foodstuffs, household decorative items,
ethnic traditional items, indigenous medicines, livestock products, and food
stalls. They also visited the children’s playground.
They greeted civil service staff from
various departments, university and degree college students, and local
residents at the fair, and watched performances by renowned singers
entertaining the visitors, joining the public in supporting and enjoying the
