SSMNC holds 3rd Meeting of 9th 47-Member Term

THE first day of the third meet­ing of the Ninth 47-Member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Commit­tee began at the Vijaya Mangala Dhamma Thabin on Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday.

 

Present on the occasion were members of the State Sang­ha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtama­pyan Monastery, Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddham­majotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Aye Tun and of­ficials.

 

Before the meeting, the Deputy Minister donated the of­ferings to Sayadaws and monks.

 

Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa presided over the meeting, and Joint Secretary Sayadaw Aggamaha Pandita Bhaddanta Covida acted as the master of ceremonies.

 

The deputy minister sup­plicated the matters related to the religious affairs, and the Sayadaws discussed Vinicchaya affairs, religious-related matters and the education sector during the meeting.

 

Senior General Than Shwe (Retd) and wife Daw Kyaing Kyaing and family members donated day meals to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Commit­tee member Sayadaws who at­tended the ceremony yesterday. — MNA/KTZH
