Tatmadaw seagoing hospital vessel continues medical services in Ngayokkaung



TATMADAW’S seagoing hospi­tal ship ‘Thanlwin’, accompa­nied by mobile specialist med­ical teams, has been providing healthcare services to residents in Ngayokkaung, Ngaputaw Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday. They were warmly welcomed by local officials, res­idents, teachers, and students.

 

The mobile medical team based their operations at the Station Hospital in Ngayokkau­ng and provided healthcare ser­vices to 475 locals. Treatment included 121 general illnesses, 56 surgical cases, 22 obstetric cases, 19 paediatric cases, 93 orthopaedic cases, 31 ENT cas­es, 80 eye cases, and 53 dental cases.

 

Among them, four patients received general surgery, four had x-rays, 64 underwent ul­trasound scans, 54 had ECG examinations, and 35 received laboratory tests.

 

Furthermore, arrange­ments were made for one patient requiring further treatment to be referred to Mingaladon De­fence Services General Hospi­tal. — MNA/KZL
