Tatmadaw shooting team heads to 33rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet in Singapore
THE Tatmadaw shooting team departed
yesterday morning from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport for Singapore to
compete in the 33rd ASEAN
Armies Rifle Meet (AARM).
The team was seen off at the airport by
Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Phone Myat, along with senior military officers and
officials from the office of the Commander-in-Chief.
The 33rd
ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet will be held from 21 to 27 November and
will feature shooting teams from ten ASEAN nations.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw team will compete
in the rifle, carbine, machine gun, men’s pistol, and women’s pistol events.
Led by Team Leader Lt-Col Thein Soe Tun, the delegation comprises a total of
42 personnel, including administrators, coaches, and shooting athletes. —
