MoCRD and Roscongress Foundation discuss natural fertilizer factory, agri-cooperation projects
UNION Minister U Hla Moe of the Ministry
of Cooperatives and Rural Development received a delegation led by Mr Sergey
Shatirov, Supervisory Board Member of the Roscongress Foundation, at the
Minister’s Reception Hall yesterday morning.
During the meeting, they held an open
and cordial exchange of views on matters relating to the Myanmar–Russia
cooperation project to construct a natural fertilizer factory, the status of
the MoU for projects jointly undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture,
Livestock and Irrigation, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development
and the Roscongress Foundation, the trial cultivation of nine varieties of
sunflower seeds supplied by Russia through agricultural cooperative
associations, the ongoing efforts to enable the local production and use of
foliar fertilizer, and arrangements to begin construction of the natural
fertilizer factory in December and to complete it within one year.
The permanent secretary,
directors-general and other responsible officials also attended the meeting. —
