Prime Minister joins Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Anniversary and holds talks with President
PRIME Minister U Nyo Saw arrived at
Ashgabat International Airport in Turkmenistan yesterday morning, where he was
received by Turkmen officials.
He then attended the opening ceremony
marking the 30th anniversary
of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, held at the Monument of Neutrality in
Ashgabat. The event was attended by invited international leaders, representatives
from the United Nations and various international organizations, as well as
other distinguished guests.
The programme began with a flag-raising
ceremony, during which the Prime Minister, together with the Turkmen Guard of
Honour, saluted the national flag before the ceremony continued as scheduled.
Later, the Prime Minister visited an
exhibition commemorating the 30th anniversary
of Permanent Neutrality, held at the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and
Industry. There, he viewed displays on Turkmenistan’s political, economic and
social development, traditional handicrafts, digital and AI technologies, and
records of international cooperation.
He also visited the Ashgabat
horse-breeding centre, livestock facilities housing local goats, sheep and
cattle, and the National Museum of Turkmenistan.
In the evening, Prime Minister U Nyo Saw
met President Mr Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan. The two leaders held a
cordial and open discussion on further strengthening bilateral friendship and
diplomatic relations, expanding cooperation in various sectors, and continuing
to advance positive collaboration on the international stage. — MNA/MKKS
