Red Cross holds communication training, visits quake-hit communities in Mandalay Region
A communication training course for field workers in Mandalay Region was held on 23 February at the Win Unity Hotel in Mandalay.
The training was jointly organized by the Myanmar Red Cross Society’s Social Welfare Communication Department and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Twenty Red Cross volunteers from townships across Mandalay Region attended the two-day training course, which ran from 23 to 24 February.
In addition, officials from the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, together with Red Cross volunteers from Mandalay Region, visited the Myanmar Red Cross Society’s multi-purpose cash assistance distribution programme for earthquake-affected communities in TadaU and Amarapura Townships, Mandalay Region, on 28 March 2025. They inspected the prepared houses and temporary shelters and assessed the needs of the affected communities. — ASH/MKKS
