YRIC approves foreign manufacturing project
THE Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) endorsed one foreign enterprise to put capital investment of US$3.025 million in the manufacturing sector, at the meeting held on 24 February 2026.
That enterprise will manufacture polyester and synthetic fabrics and lining materials used in garment factories, designated for 100 per cent local sales. It created 225 jobs for locals.
The meeting also delivered capital expansion of two existing businesses and general reports of 13 companies. The regional investment committee has been endorsing investment projects in accordance with rules and regulations under the Myanmar Investment Law to spur investments and create more job opportunities. — NN/KK
