Amyotha Hluttaw forms Bill Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Hluttaw Rights Committee, Vetting Committee

THE
first regular session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw continued its session on the
second day at the convention hall of the Amyotha Hluttaw at the Hluttaw Complex
in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Amyotha
Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe announced that all 213 Amyotha Hluttaw
representatives who were entitled to attend the second day of the first regular
session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw were present, constituting a full quorum.
He then declared the meeting duly convened and opened, and recorded the
attendance status with the approval of the Hluttaw.
The
Speaker explained the formation of the Bill Committee while Amyotha Hluttaw
representative Daw Nwe Nwe Oo from the Ayeyawady Region Constituency 2
clarified the responsibilities, authority, rights and term of the committee.
The
Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker informed the Hluttaw of forming the Bill Committee with
15 members led by Amyotha Hluttaw representative Daw Nwe Nwe Oo from the
Ayeyawady Region Constituency 2 as the Chair and Amyotha Hluttaw representative
U Zin Min Htet from the Bago Region Constituency 7 as the Secretary.
He
also clarified the formation of the Public Accounts Committee. Amyotha Hluttaw
representative U Than Aung from the Taninthayi Region Constituency 2 presented
the responsibilities, authority, rights and term of the committee.
The
Speaker also explained the formation of the Public Accounts Committee with 15
members led by Amyotha Hluttaw representative U Chit Swe from the Ayeyawady
Region Constituency 10 as the Chair and Amyotha Hluttaw representative U Than
Aung from the Taninthayi Region Constituency 2 as the Secretary.
Furthermore,
the Speaker clarified the establishment of the Hluttaw Rights Committee.
Amyotha Hluttaw representative U Aung Tin Myint from the Ayeyawady Region
Constituency 8 explained the responsibilities, authority, rights and term of
the committee.
The
Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker announced that the Hluttaw Rights Committee will be
established with 15 members, led by Amyotha Hluttaw representative Jeng Phang
Naw Taung from the Kachin State Constituency 2 as the Chair and Amyotha Hluttaw
representative U Aung Tin Myint from the Ayeyawady Region Constituency 8 as the
Secretary.
The
Speaker clarified the programme to constitute the Government Guarantees,
Pledges and Undertakings Vetting Committee. Amyotha Hluttaw representative U
Hla Thein from the Bago Region Constituency 10 reported on the
responsibilities, authority, rights and term of the committee.
The
Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker informed the Hluttaw about the formation of the
Government Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings Vetting Committee with 15
members led by Amyotha Hluttaw representative U Hla Thein from the Bago Region
Constituency 10 as the Chair and Amyotha Hluttaw representative U Yan Naing Oo
from the Yangon Region Constituency 9 as the Secretary.
The
second-day session of the Amyotha Hluttaw was adjourned, and the third-day
