March sees deployment of over 120 Myanmar EPS workers

THROUGH the Public Overseas
Employment Agency (POEA), more than 120 Myanmar EPS workers, including 10 women
workers, were sent to the Republic of Korea in March, according to the Myanmar
Embassy to the Republic of Korea.
Seventeen EPS workers who are
being employed for the service sector – seven men and 10 women – arrived at the
Incheon International Airport on 10 March by Korean Air KE492, and 72 EPS
workers for the manufacturing sector and one for the agriculture sector,
totalling 73, arrived by Thai Airways TG656 on 11 March.
Further arrivals continued – an
entry-worker arrived by Thai Airways TG656 on 12 March, and 29 manufacturing
workers and a construction worker, totalling 30, arrived on 25 March by Thai
Airways TG656, said the embassy. The labour attaché from the embassy in Seoul welcomed the workers
and provided assistance and guidance.
Ambassador U Myo Myint Maung
greeted the workers via a video call during their arrival and urged them to
contact the embassy if they had difficulty. — MT/ZS
