Putao District Begins Matriculation Examination

The nationwide matriculation examination for the 2025–2026 academic year began peacefully today at three examination centres in Putao District, Kachin State.

A total of 894 out of 966 candidates sat for the exam, representing an attendance rate of 93 per cent. The Putao, Machanbaw and Naung Mon examination centres recorded attendance rates of 93 per cent, 88 per cent and 83 per cent, respectively.

District and township officials and education authorities visited the centres to inspect security arrangements, health clinics and the orderly entry of students.— District IPRD
