Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Yangon hosts Iftar ceremony

THE Iftar ceremony organized by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Myanmar was held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon last night. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Region Development Minister U Bo Htay, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dip­lomats from embassies to Myan­mar based in Yangon, and other invitees and officials attended.

Ceremony attendees were first welcomed by Mr Maziad Mohammed M Al Howishan, Ambassador-Designate of Sau­di Arabia to Myanmar, followed by a display of traditional Saudi Arabian date palm dishes.

Afterwards, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Mr Maziad Mohammed M Al Howishan exchanged congrat­ulations and best wishes for the development and prosperity of the two countries, posed for a documentary photo, and Mr Ma­ziad Mohammed M Al Howishan hosted a dinner. — Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)/TH
