7 K200 stamps to be introduced hailing 70th Anniversary of Sixth Buddhist Council
IN commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council known as the Chattha Sangayana, seven new K200 special postage stamps will be sold, according to the Myanmar Post under the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications.
Designed by U Aung Zaw Myat (Kyawt Thiha), the seven new postage stamps will be printed with the approval of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The new stamps will be sold on 30 April, Kason Full Moon Day, at the souvenir shop in the pagoda complex of the Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Pagoda, the Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, the Yangon Post Office, and the Mandalay Post Office, starting from 9:30 am.
As a special programme, the date logo will be affixed to stamps and first-day covers for customers on 30 April.
