Myanmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Challenge Cup kicks off in Yangon

THE Myanmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Challenge Cup official­ly opened at 4 pm yesterday at Myanmar Plaza on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Bahan Town­ship, Yangon.

The tournament is organ­ized by the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation with support from Myanmar Plaza. Opening remarks were delivered by the federation’s vice-president, U Aung Myint Myat, and Myanmar Plaza’s sale promoting manager, Ma Han Su Yin, before officials declared the competition open.

Opening matches saw teams including San Nyunt ver­sus USL, YRG versus Dway Mal Naw, Shwe Kyun Thar versus Soe Lin, and Hse Tel Bo versus Leik Thone Kaung competing.

The tournament runs from 23 to 26 April with free entry. It features Myanmar national players, experienced veter­ans and promising young tal­ents competing in four-player open-category matches. — Bala/KZL
