Myanmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Challenge Cup kicks off in Yangon
THE Myanmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Challenge Cup officially opened at 4 pm yesterday at Myanmar Plaza on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Bahan Township, Yangon.
The tournament is organized by the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation with support from Myanmar Plaza. Opening remarks were delivered by the federation’s vice-president, U Aung Myint Myat, and Myanmar Plaza’s sale promoting manager, Ma Han Su Yin, before officials declared the competition open.
Opening matches saw teams including San Nyunt versus USL, YRG versus Dway Mal Naw, Shwe Kyun Thar versus Soe Lin, and Hse Tel Bo versus Leik Thone Kaung competing.
The tournament runs from 23 to 26 April with free entry. It features Myanmar national players, experienced veterans and promising young talents competing in four-player open-category matches. — Bala/KZL
